Ruby Seresin is a filmmaker, coder, and researcher.
She is interested in the content and boundaries of human experience—our knowledge, feelings and perception. In particular, she is interested in shifts in perspective achieved through physical activity, immersion in nature, meditation and discomfort, examining how these can radically alter our experience.
She has created numerous branded documentary films that reflect her passion for sports and the outdoors. Currently Ruby is working on her first essay film, which delves into non-human sensory perception and the concept of umwelt.
Her coding projects explore similar themes. Most recently, she co-designed and developed DIPP, a digital platform created for University College London to support safe, prepared engagement with psychedelics for therapeutic benefit in clinical trials.
She studied undergraduate Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Oxford and is currently completing an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Bath.
